Was für ein musikalischer Start ins Jahr 2026!

Gegen Ende des Jahres 2025 bin ich immer tiefer in „the Dark Side of Country“ gerutscht. Man nennt den Musikstil manchmal auch Gothic Country oder Dark Southern Country – Wo da genau die Ursprünge liegen? Keine Ahnung, aber ich schätze mal, dass man Johnny Cash in diese Kategorie einordnen kann.

Mit 5 Days Left kommt nun eine Band, die ihren Stil selber als „a haunted blend of Appalachian folk, New Orleans gothic soul, indie rock, and trap-driven 808s, fused into a genre that never existed until now. This isn’t a style you can compare to anything else; it’s a world.“
